Hello, and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My passion is helping people heal from painful experiences and unhealthy relationship patterns so they can become the healthiest, strongest version of themselves.

I believe lasting change happens when we address the root causes of our struggles—not just the symptoms. Together, we’ll explore what’s keeping you stuck, process the experiences that have shaped you, and build the tools you need to create meaningful, lasting change.

My approach is warm, honest, encouraging, and down-to-earth. I strive to create a space where you’ll feel safe enough to be yourself, supported enough to be vulnerable, and challenged enough to grow. I’ll meet you with compassion, truth, and even a little humor when it’s helpful.

When we work together, my hope is that you’ll feel truly seen, heard, and understood—and that you’ll leave each session with greater hope, resilience, and confidence as you move toward healthier relationships and a more fulfilling life.

Ashley P.

Jennifer has walked me through some of the darkest seasons of my life. She has given me the tools and support to heal and come out stronger. She is also very knowledgeable and well respected in her field. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs counseling.”

About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC), and Certified Consilium® Practitioner (Mental Health) based in Fort Collins, Colorado. I am also a certified PREPARE/Enrich practitioner. I work with adults and couples who are ready to heal from painful experiences, strengthen their relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change.

My approach is warm, honest, and collaborative. I believe growth requires courage—the willingness to take personal responsibility, engage in difficult conversations, and do the work that leads to lasting healing. In our sessions, you can expect compassion, encouragement, and gentle, thoughtful challenges that help you gain insight, build resilience, and move toward the life you want. While I am happy to incorporate your faith into therapy if it is important to you, I welcome clients of all beliefs, backgrounds, and life experiences.

I feel incredibly grateful to have found my calling as a therapist. It is a privilege to walk alongside people as they heal, discover new strengths, and experience meaningful transformation. Few things are more rewarding than witnessing clients grow in confidence, find greater peace, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

I am committed to providing thoughtful, effective therapy grounded in both clinical expertise and genuine human connection. Every client deserves to feel seen, understood, and supported, and I strive to create an environment where lasting change is possible.

If my approach resonates with you, I’d love to connect! I invite you to schedule a phone consultation so we can discuss your goals and determine whether we’re a good fit for your goals.

I was able to tell Jennifer what my goals were, then change them according to what I needed at the time. I have found my time with her to be some of the most valuable self-reflection I’ve ever been through. I would highly recommend her as a therapist!”

Jen M.

Jennifer is a highly skilled therapist! I have been to several therapists over the years & the approach was a temporary band-aid fix for the issues. Jennifer helps discover the root of the issues. Her understanding & compassion for traumatic life events is tenfold. I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t find her.”

Individual Counseling

Life’s most difficult experiences often have the potential to shape us in meaningful ways—but in the middle of pain, it can be hard to believe things will ever get better. During those seasons, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about the path forward. Having the support, perspective, and guidance of a skilled therapist can make all the difference.

Jennifer helps individuals navigate life’s challenges with honesty, compassion, and practical insight. Together, you’ll uncover the root causes of what’s keeping you stuck, build greater self-awareness, develop resilience, and gain the clarity and confidence needed to create lasting change. Healing is possible, and you don’t have to walk the journey alone.

Couples Counseling

Every relationship faces challenges, but struggling doesn’t mean your relationship is beyond repair. Whether you’re hoping to improve communication, reduce conflict, rebuild trust after an affair, deepen intimacy, or simply understand one another more fully, couples counseling can help you reconnect and move forward together.

Using evidence-based approaches, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and PREPARE/ENRICH premarital and marital assessments, Jennifer helps couples break unhealthy patterns, strengthen their connection, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. Together, you’ll develop the insight, skills, and confidence to create lasting change.

three formats for working together

I offer counseling sessions in three flexible formats:
• In-office in Fort Collins, Colorado
• Telehealth (secure video) for residents of CO and SD
• Outdoor walking sessions (by request) in Fort Collins, CO

No matter the setting, you’ll find a warm, non-judgmental space where you’re supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow. My approach is down-to-earth, practical, and tailored to help you move forward.

My Indoor Counseling Office

My practice is situated in a quiet, peaceful area, and your privacy is a top priority. My waiting room is cozy, private and discreet, and the entire office layout was created with your comfort, serenity, and privacy in mind.

Nature-based (“walk-and-talk”) sessions

My office is near some beautiful neighborhoods and parks, and sometimes clients (and I) enjoy getting outside to walk while we talk or even sit on the grass and chat. This is always an option if weather permits; just let me know you’d prefer this type of session so I dress appropriately!

Telehealth

I also offer telehealth (video therapy sessions). One of the main benefits of telehealth is that it expands access to care for people who need it most and allows me to provide coaching services to people around the globe.
